2010 Best Bularoo V2

We received the first shipment of Best Bularoos in the country, and they look insane! Based off the ever popular 2009 Waroo design, with added reinforcements, the new Bularoo is sure to be a favorite kite. Here are some pics.

Any reviews on these kites? 11m in particular? How do they compare to the '08's?

The 2010 Bularoo is the same plane shape and design as the 2009 Waroo, with more reinforcements along the leading edge and struts for snow and land kiting. It performs pretty much the same as last year's Waroo SLE - very predictable, very little back stalling, turns good, plenty of lift and float, perfect for wave riding or freestyle. New paint job, same popular kite.

The new BV213m is very similar to the 09 Waroo. It flies about the same in most ways but it does seem to have a higher aspect. We put both in the air side by side and the 09 was just a bit thicker. I think it turns a bit faster and it seems to head up a bit better. I think I would also be comfortable in a little more wind than I would use the 09 in. The EZ pump is a nice feature too.

Would you say the range is consistent with the '09 Waroo? More powerful?

What about the 9.5m Kahoona v2? This is the other kite I'm looking at. Any feedback on that?

The 2010 Bularoo is exactly the same design as the 2009 Waroo, so yes the wind range is the same and it flies very similar. If you are looking to go fast and big, with the comfort of a well-known SLE shape, the Bularoo V2 is hard to beat.

The 9.5 Kahoona V2 has the low end power of an equivalent 10 meter SLE, but slightly less than the 11 meter 2009 waroo or 2010 Bularoo. It does turn faster though, but not quite as much top end because of the deeper pocket, or lower aspect ratio. For wave riding and wake style the Kahoona is a winner. The relaunch of the Kahoona is hard to beat as well with the delta shape. I flew a 11.5 Kahoona V2 yesterday in 15-17 mph with a 3-4 knot reverse current and was having a blast, able to jump, kite loops, the works.
