For the past several years I have been riding Resin8 Surfboards on and off the kite. The construction and performance is second to none. Pro Kiter Davey Blair has been using them as well on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii and beyond for the past couple of years. Resin8 produces one of the few surfboards that will hold up to the stresses of kiteboarding, especially the strapless airs that Davey and his crew like to punt on a daily basis. Check it out:

I went to Costa Rica this summer with Resin8 Production Manager Andy Seidensticker A.K.A. "Sticky" and we talked alot about putting inserts in some smaller surfboard shapes specifically for kiteboarding. He already played around with some different techniques of placing the inserts into the deck with reinforced material to make them extremely strong for kiteboarding. Hopefully we will see some of those boards with built in inserts this spring. Until then I am testing a 6'0" pro model that has had inserts installed by a windsurf board manufacturer in North Carolina and I will let you know how it goes.
