Went out Sat in Titusville off the 406. It was extremely gusty just like everywhere else and I was riding my 5.5m nitro. If your desperate to ride I'd say its an option. Gall tried launching a 12m but that didnt last long and he ended up using my 6.5m. Overall the spot is pretty good for a west wind. No current, small wind chop, and 4 feet deep over most the riding area. We all mostly shy'd away from big jumps because of that and the fact it was so gusty.

Also, What the heck is that zipper in the middle of the canopy on the HIR. Do you guys usually ride with it closed or open, and does it make that much of a difference in the power? I was looking over the kite today and noticing the features like the self rescue handles and I really can't wait to try this kite out.

Later Toast

Sounds like you guys has the wind we had too this weekend. I was LIT on my RRD Type HIR 8m on Saturday. Jonathan was on a SS 9m and not sure how he was holding it down. A few others were all out on bow kites..8's and 9's. Anyway, The zipper is for power and changing the way the kite flys. 99% of the time, I keep it unzipped. It flys more like a high aspect kite(further foward in the window). If you zip it up, it gives it a little more power and makes it sit a little further back in the window(more like a medium aspect kite).

I kited titusville off the 406 and it was sick. I was lit on my 9m rrd type 7. That kite i think is better than the slingshot fuel. Anyways titusville is a sick spot.
