The Royal High Five was designed to create a board for riders wanting a true all around board to maximize their time and fun on the water. If you want to ride waves, jump, and explore all the facets that our sport has to enjoy, or simply be the first and last one on the water, look no further than the High Five. With a bomber sandwich construction, the multiple footstrap and FCS fin inserts can take you from wave, skim, race or twintip board configurations and performance in the twist of a screwdriver.

The Placebo Surf Skate has become the staple with these kinds of surfboards but the Royal High Five takes it a step further. The shape is similar to the Surf Skate but the High Five offers many more options including mulitiple inserts to install footstraps in many combinations. The High Five also features 7 FCS fin boxes to set up the board however you wish. These combinations allow you to use the High Five as a Surfboard, a Raceboard, a Skimboard or even a Twintip.

When set up similar to the Placebo, the biggest difference it has is the angle of it's fins. The shape of the tails between the two are almost identical. The High Five has a little more weight to it which I think is great when riding strapless. It also feels stronger than the Placebo.

The two sessions I've had on it were the most fun I've had riding strapless in a long time. It just felt easy to ride

I gotta say I love mine. The quad setup is pretty grippy. Still haven't had a good session with the thruster setup but I'm gonna go for twin fin tomorrow.

I never got a chance on the placebo but they do share the same basic idea. I'm glad though I've got the High5 though since I can change it to fit the conditions. Straps or no straps, quad or thruster or twin or none.

either way though I doubt you could go wrong for a fun board to mix things up with. I'm retiring my 138 in favor of the High5 for my "lightwind" board

The board does look really good. A lot like the Placebo, which I love for low wind stuff. The Plaecbo I have is the best light wind board I have riddent. Even better than the glide or my 9.0 surfboard. How is this one for low winds? And Toast, remember, we don't live in Maui where a light wind day is 20 knots!

The straps or the fins? The fins are super easy, just loosen a little screw on either side of the fin and it should slide out or slide the fin in and tighten the screw.
