After a week of rain last week, the summer monsoon is in full effect in Florida starting today, and the drought is officially over. This is the time to be diligent about keeping a close eye on the radar before heading out for an early afternoon sea breeze session, and watch the sky for approaching storms. Check out this one approaching this afternoon here. About 15 minutes after these photos were taken, the sky opened up.

Very cool indeed. It's been raining (more like storming) quite a bit here lately as well. Put quite a dent in my fishing trips. Still, we really.. really... really needed the rain.
