Not sure on those wind ranges... they should be pretty close to each other in terms of top end and low end. Everywhere you read(including my comments on here) you will find different wind ranges for different kites. It all depends on what you define as your wind range. For example, I could probably hold a 12m ION or 12m Waroo in 30-35mph winds. So, yes, I could ride it in those winds, but I would be going 1mph, way uncomfortable, and have the kite at full depower mode... not really fun... anyway, all in all, I would say the top and low end of those kites is about the same.

I weigh 95kg and have a nobile 135x40 board. Which size would be best for me.
And if I my keep 16m2 Co2. Which kite must take other half-measure there beside.. 9m2 or 12m2

Guest (if that is your real name), what is your current OTHER kite size that you are trying to replace?

If you have your 16m and want to find a BOW to replace your 11- 13 m kite.. I say get a 12m. It will cover an 11 - nearly 15m range (depending on your skill level)

If your other kite that you ride the most is a 9 or 10.. get a 9m. It will cover your 8-11 range easily and depending on skill, you can get a lot more out of it.

I am learning quickly that better kiters can ride MUCH smaller kites with bigger board and kite skills that others cant even get up and go. a 12m Bow *can* cover a 10 - 15m range. and I know people that can ride a 9m Bow when others in same size are flying 15m kites (board and skillz at work).

if you ride a 151 board you should first learn to kite before posting reviews..........

I was riding a 118 yesterday--that means I am a better kiter than Daddy of Skye? Sweet! Now I can treat him like dirt!

Daddy of Skye, you need to learn to kite before you write any more reviews, just like "reader" noticed. And I am not talking about that 40-foot high handle-pass shit you like to flaunt, either, that stuff is weak. I am talking about HARDCORE moves, like a Hello Kitty (9 kite loops). Let me know when you reach my level so I can order an even smaller board.

Post subject: What do think about changing the setup a bit.
PostPosted: Wed May 31, 2006 12:14 am
I have the fusion 12 and love it, but want a faster kite for the bigger sizes around 16. Think the ION will do the job??

Also, do you think its possible to change the setup of the kite so as to kill the kite only when needed. Sort of making the chicken loop line shorter to take less power off the kite when you let go the bar, but still killing the kite when its pulled by the leash thats connected to the green line "fifth line".

Basically, Doing a handle pass 20ft in the air and missing it sucks but with the leash attached to the chicken loop helps with the fall. Only once I did the stupid mistake of attempting that with the leash on a fifth line. OUCH! I almost popped my ear drum when I hit the water. Though, doing powered mobes and such I prefer the kite to die immediately if I miss it.

Think that will do it or what would you recommend if not?
