Ok peeps, I need some advice from the pro's. I want to move to Maui short term. (Toast chime in anytime). But i need some advice on where to stay/things to know. I want to go for minimum of 4 months and probably 6.

1. How to do it on the cheap
2. how to Live it up
3. what is the minimum gear to bring.

Thanks for the help

I guess there must be wind or surf somewhere.......

Also I guess it would be good to know when the best time to go is. obviously I looked at when it was windiest, but that isnt always the best time to go, if ya know what i mean.

1. How to do it on the cheap
-Whats cheap to you?
2. how to Live it up
-Whats living it up to you? Partying and girls or surfing and kiting
3. what is the minimum gear to bring.
7-9m but depends on your weight. 170lbs+ 8-10m ideal. A surfboard and your favorite twintip 128-135 depending on your weight again.

I will call as soon as I can. but to answer your questions

Cheapest- Tent, sneakers, Ramen noodles

Cheaper- rent room, buy bicycle, no job

Cheap- rent a place maybe get a part time job, buy moped or shit car

Livin it up, best place to live based on most kiting and after session vibe

I weigh 180. If I went over on the cheap I want to bring as little equip as possible. 2 kites 2 boards max

This is more of a get away and clear head trip, but I have career skills, so if I saw an opening and enjoyed living there, it enough could be a permanent move.

I have a friend with places to rent. Somewhat like camping out though but only $200 er so. The rest of the guys sharing the place are kiters so theres a good vibe there. You could get away without having a car if you make friends with the guys that live there but eventually your gonna need something. I'll let them know that your interested if you want me too.

and for kite you want a 8m or 9m for your main kite and maybe a 10m-11m if you can swing it. I'm 155-160 and my money kite is an 8m and 128-130cm board. A slightly bigger board and the same size kite will get you by perfect.

Don't be afraid to give me a shout, I'm on east coast time and not working at the moment.
