Just was able to take a little time off and was going to charge up to NC for 4 days of hopefully extreme kiting! Was trying to get some ideas for must hit spots, and possibly rally some troops. Was most likely thinking of camping or renting a cabin. If you think you might want to carpool it up there and kill it, Holla!

The Planet Run is a downwinder from south of the SDA to somehere from SDA to points north of 3-5 miles or more depending on where you bail out. Must have southerly winds, SW being the best. About halfway in there is a big slick (Planet of the Apes) you can ride ... butter smooth.
Go with someone who knows the way. Be prepared to walk a long way if shit breaks.
Not sure about getting the right winds this late though.

This time of year you're looking at NE winds for the most part ... ocean downwinders. For flat water can ride at KP but tends to be a bit gusty or there is a wash-out south of Frisco with some cleaner winds.
