Those kites looks sweet, but unfortunately we have never even seen one, much less flown one. Word on the street is that Toast is working with Naish now, so where is the love? It would be nice to have a new Helix to try out for this weekend's event.

I used to fly Naish Kites a few years ago...always loved the quality, how they flew, etc.... problem now, is they are just too expensive.... hard to justify when the other kites out there cost way less and seem to fly just as well....

I call it the the butt crack. I think i'll go out to HI and check one out.

Not hired yet but have flown a lot of Naish kites. Tried the 2010+ helix and some protos made from different materials. Its a good all round kite. Only flew the 8m for the 2010 helix. Not sure what lightwind performance would be. Its been 2 or so weeks since I flew one so I don't remember too clearly what it felt like but my feet got wet and I had a smile on my face.

Been riding here at home with a local Julian Wohlrab who rides for Naish. She said last week that he should have the 2010 gear hopfully in the next week or so. So maayyyyyybe i'll get to try one out if he gets one.

I know they wanted to go with the bird wing design but I dont see how it can creat more lift than the straight wing. Might turn faster but for over all launching and soaring power i'm still skeptical. I guess we will see. Probs for trying new designs tho.
