We just got a big shipment of the new GK Sonics. 11m's and 14'ms only for now. I have had a chance to ride the 11m, and it is very nice. Definitely the lightest bar pressure of any of the Bow kites I have flown so far.

In terms of other Bow kites we have(and will be receiving):
Cabrinha: Switchblades and Crossbows still in stock. Some sizes out, but more coming soon to fill the holes

Slingshot: Turbo Diesels: all sizes except 16's and 14's available

Ocean Rodeo The One: coming any week now....

Airush Halo: 2 already in the mail to us..should receive in a few days.

Best Waroo: still at least a month out, if not more..

That's the latest....

What do you think is the low wind range for the sonic 14 and a slingshot glide?

For riders under 200lbs, I would say around 10mph. I rode the 11 Sonic with the Glide in around 8-14mph in an oppossing current(gives a little extra boost), and I could ride and stay up wind fine. I can only assume the 14m Sonic would have done even better. The 14m probably has the low end of a 18m traditional kite.

At the Mambo comp back in Nov I got to borrow a 14 Sonic for a few hours. I agree it has far lighter bar pressure then any other kite of that shape and style. I had been flying a C shape 17 just before switching to the Sonic and they did have equal amount of pull. Only down side to the Sonic was in the turns. As I initiated the turn, the kite has little pull or feel until it completes the turn and comes back into the powerstroke. A more traditional kite and even the crossbow and Halo(only others that I have flown) have more pull through the turn. If you like the feel of knowing where the kite is at all times then this kite may feel odd to you. The kite depowers well but if you let go of the bar, it travels well out of reach and requires pulling in the centre line to retrieve. Those were my only two gripes (oh yea, why did they put a smaller valve size on the smallest strut, I hate switching nozzle ends on my pump)

We have some strong winds forecasted for late Friday and all day on Saturday, so I am hoping to get a go at the Sonic in these winds, as well as a 9m Best Waroo we have for demo. I have flown both of these in really light winds, but haven't had a chance to really fly them and test their upper end out. I'll try to make a note of the pull during the turns and see how it compares to the others. More to follow.....
