Just as a heads up, I kited Lake Kingsley last week with a west wind and it was pretty kick ass. I have been waiting to get out there and finally drove out as a test to see what it was like. I have access to Camp Blanding, which is pretty much all beach around the lake, but haven't had a chance to research for people without Camp Blanding access. I'll let you know what I find when I head back out.

Happy kiting!

I have sailed Lake Geneva in Key Stone Heights on west winds and had a great time but Kingsley Lake is a lot closer to Jacksonville. Would be interested in access to Kingsley.
Jacksonville's Huguenot Park is the hot spot on west winds on low incomeing tides. You can sail over the sand bars or run the shore line in the small waves and all the times the income tide is bringing you toward the shore. We sometimes have a jetski for rescue if needed.

I'd love to just be able to get access to Kingsley Lake just for the water. I don't kitesurf, only landboarding, and I don't think there's enough packed beach sand for that. Seems like Kingsley Lake is not much more than a Private Lake, especially since Stricklands is closed.
