I know some guys have been riding surfboards strapless for years....i've only started messing around for the pass year or so and am loving it more everyday. I don't even own a twin tip any more... just kind of got bored with it...but now, I'm itching to go kite more than I did when I first started a LONG time ago.... Anyway, if you haven't tried a surfboard or other type of board without straps...give it a go sometime...even in flat water, it can be a blast....

Here are a few shots yesterday just screwing around....was blowing like 12 to 13mph...couldn't have gone on a twin tip...I'm no John Dodd when it comes to strapless riding, but I sure have a lot of fun!

Looks like fun Pat!!! I would recommend to anyone that is thinking about riding a surfboard in the waves with a kite to start out strapless in lighter winds. I rode an entire summer strapless on a fish style surfboard before even thinking about putting straps on a surfboard. It is easier to learn jibes without having to worry about those straps getting in the way, and you will learn alot about your foot placement on the board when you can move your feet. Resin8 has a new Tokoro 5'8 1/2" that I am itching to try out in the surf without straps!

That definitely looks like an ideal Florida shape.
One of my buddies has a very similar shape by Quiet Flight and it's awesome with a kite.
I assume that board is very similar.

I have a demo 5'8 1/2" quad Resin8 Tokoro at the shop if anyone wants to try it? I am setting it up with pads strapless today for the next windy day. May be some west wind fun tomorrow?

I would love to try that board some day.
