dakine nitrous boardshorts

Has anyone tried the nitrous boardshorts/harness. How are they? I'm getting tired of my current harness riding up and giving me abrasions.

I just started using the Nitrous shorts recently. I was a waist harness rider for several years and wasn't sure I would like the Nitrous, but now I am totally stoked on them. They feel very minimal and are not bulky or restrictive in any way. I wear some Ocean Rodeo Session shorts underneath for a little extra padding when I don't have a wetsuit on.

They may not be for everyone, but they are worth a try.

Definitely wear some type of nice undergarment. I wore the nitrous until my pair exploded. :shock:

Get some under armor or similar.

I've been using the Nitrous shorts for several years now. They are my favorite harness for sure. It took a little getting used to because there is little to no padding in the back. Definitely try some boxer briefs or a pair of baggies underneath for comfort. The Ocean Rodeo lycra shorts work great. The best thing about the Nitrous shorts is that the spreader bar stays low and doesn't ride up at all. Saves your lower back from undue strain.
