Which kite is better in light wind? Concerns are relaunch, upwind performance and building speed (and apparent wind) on a longboard or flat plywood type board.

In really light conditions a crossbow will lay on it's back. Will the switchblade do the same?

Any other kite suggestions?

Thanks,
Trip

Personally I like the Switchblade over the Crossbow, in General. But I'm a heavier guy (230lbs). Sblade is a gruntier, heavier pull but some think it's slower. I don't own either, this is from a mooching standpoint so, take it with a grain of salt. But I've always seemed to prefer the Blade over the Bow.

If you are considering new and have the time to wait for one to get in, I've tried out the 17 Contra, and I really like that kite. It's kept me going in some really light stuff. I've heard "tales" that it's kept big guys going on the right board in 8-10, and kept them upwind..... Like I said it's a "tale" but if I was going to buy one, I'd go with the Contra.
