I had a chance to put the new 5 line Slingshot 15M Link thru its paces yesterday in Hatteras, NC. I rode at Kite Point in the morning in light to moderate wind 10 to 15 mph . Then the wind came up for a downwinder at mid day from the high teens to high 20s. I went back and rode KP again in the late afternoon in mid teens to low 20s. After that Jay Crawford and Ty Lucket showed up and we did another downwinder to Jay's house finishing up at dark. In all I put about 8 hours on the water. The day was perfect for test driving the 15 from marginally powered conditions to super lit. I rigged the kite on the 2nd knot for all attachments except the 5th line which I placed on the last knot. The 5th line attachment looked tighter than I would normally ride on my C kites but, the kite performed so well in the wide range of conditions that I saw no need to change my rigging. I was impressed by the performance of the kite across the board. I could go up wind easily, the kite was super stable even in the high 20s although I was super lit. No jellyfishing or flutter in the kite. The pop off the water and hang time in the air was awesome as well. The bar pressure was more than the Link 12 but, I guess you would expect that from a bigger kite. When I heard SS wasn't making any kites bigger than a 15M this year I was a bit concerned at 205 lbs. However, after riding the the 15 I can't imagine needing anything bigger than the 15. I'm stoked to have this kite in my quiver.
