Daryl and myself rigged and flew the RRD hybrid (prototype) kite today (a 12m in 9 to 12 knots)

The prototype was one pump and has a zipper associated with the center strut (like the HIRs do).

It is difficult to gain tremendous insights toward a kite in this light of wind, but both Daryl and myself feel the kite holds promise after today's first "flight" and are definitely looking forward to demoing it in some real wind.

More information about the kite's characteristics will follow once we get some more wind. For now I included some pictures from today
