My friends and I have been going to Orlando Watersports to get better on our boards. We got into this a few months back and have taken trips to New Symrna, St. Augustine and even up to Ft. Walton for some lessons (this was of course before I found this shop and site). I feel really good with my first kite, North Toro 10m 2003, except I am still learning how to be patient when it goes down with a twist and it takes a few to sort it out. I just felt that my board skills were lacking but now I'm headed out to New S in the morning and I hope to really put it all together. I'm glad to have found this site and you will def be hearing about my ups and downs and many questions. I think I am going to check out the event up in St. Augustine at the end of October, sounds like fun. Well I'm out and I'll let you know how it went.

P.S. I love my kite but am looking to upgrade soon. Also will be looking into a bigger light wind board. Any advice appreciated other than what is already posted.

Nice to hear that you are dedicated to learning to kite Chris. The cable park at Orlando Watersports is a perfect place to learn board skills. I noticed that you said your kites was twisting on it's way down. Do you have a 5th line bar? If not, it will help negate the spinning when you release the bar.
