Dudez, I got worked on my 12m Ion today while ripping it up on my 118 cm Gaastra board. I was HAULING ASS upwind of my bro Zack yelling "bring it on, bitch" when I plowed into a wave and ate shit, spinning a few times and somehow getting the bar turned around in my hands.

I tried to steer the kite away from Zack, who tried to come by downwind of me, but because my bar is reversed, the kite comes right at him and he has to dive under my lines just before my kite impacts the water. Then, I am trying to relaunch the kite for 80-90 seconds but the thing is just torquing at the right side of the window, refusing to launch but macked out with power and dragging me downwind and I am screaming at everyone to get out of the way because somethings's up and the kite is not responding to me. Of course, I cruise right through the lineup like a bowling ball.

And then I look down and see my left hand holding blue.

For f*ck's sake. Relaunched the kite. Dragged back and got the board. Offered to buy the affected riders some beers.

From what I hear through various sources, that may be upwards of 20 riders!
Zack made it out! Sweet. He use to be my go to dawn patrol partner about 5 years ago.

The Donster said it was packed at the SW and that their were lots of new faces and quite a few new. Wish I could have ridden with you guys.
