Detailed review coming soon. Here is a video from yesterday after work. We got in the water around 6:15pm and stopped a little after 7:00pm. Winds were around 10-16mph when we started, and quickly dropped to 8-14mph. We were on the Ozone Instinct 13m and Flexifoil ION 12m. Other kites out there at the same time were: 16m Crossbow, 15m Fuel, 16m RRD HIR, and 18.5 Flexifoil ION. We were on three different lightwind boards: Slingshot Glide, Spleene Flydoor, and Underground FLX 152.
Here is the video:

looks like a nice kite (Ozone). Any comments on how to self-launch / land and bar / leash comments would be helpful. Does the bar spin?

Sorry...we were hoping to get it out in more winds so we can give a full review. Here are a few initial comments based off of that super light wind day:

Overall appearance: Like most of the other bow kites. Biggest difference is no pulleys on the kite and a bridle line that extends from wing tip to wing top with 5th line attachment. Construction of the kite: looks bombproof.

Bar and Lines: No pulleys, moveable depower cleat...it slides down as you pull the long depower cord. Seems very simple and overall a clean bar. Two improvements I would like to see: (1) swivel some where on the lines (2)different type of depower system..It dangles there and gets wrapped around itself. Not a major issue, because it still worked, but something to hold it in place better

Power: It was super light and we could ride, so very impressed. Initial thoughts are the 13m is as powerful as most 16-17m C shape kites.

Bar pressure: super light. Liked this a lot about the kite

How it flys: Likes front line tension, or it will stall...very similiar in flight characteristics compared to the GK Sonic...a true front line flier.

Speed: Good speed, pretty fast. Not the fastest bow kite out there, but not the slowest. Definitely on the faster side of the spectrum.

Water relaunch: I dropped it once in super light stuff: probably around 9mph of wind with the current pushing towards me(made it difficult to get tension on the kite to pivot it or flip it over)..still got it out of the water, but took some work. With stronger winds and a normal current(or no current), it would be fine

Overall: Really nice kite. If you like a front line flying kite, you'll like this kite. We only tested the light winds on it, so more to follow on medium to stronger winds.

This was an Instinct review, what happened to the ION review ? I'm trying to make a decision between those two kites but it's very difficult.

Sorry, found it on my way down ...... Does the instinct have a stopperball or something you can rest your bar on ?
