Here in Sydney, I got to demo the 14m yesterday. It was really light winds only 10 to 14 knots. I was on the flx152 and weigh 85kilo so not a light weight. The bar is so simple and they have removed the dangleing depower starps so they no longer get in the way. The bar pressure is very light and with the adjustable stoper, I could easily move it down for when I wanted to spin the bar or adjust by board and need to remove my hands from the bar.
Very grunty kite but not as flat a shape as the Sblade so a little slower turning but more power in the turns. I was able to go upwind just a little but was getting some very good loft. Had tried several other bow and sle's but this is the first that felt more like jumping with a c-style kite.
Anyway if you have been thinking of getting the switchblade, you might wait and get the 17m Contra as I think that it will be a low wind winner.
