Post subject: Question on new Cab Contra kites
PostPosted: Mon May 15, 2006 12:14 pm
Daryl/Pat,
Any idea when you'll be getting the new Cabrinha Contra 17m kites in? Anything lined up in the way of demos/ride dates, etc...

Thx
Ken

14m's due within a week or two, and 12's/17's due a few weeks after that. We are trying to get a demo, and hopefully will have one soon...

Guess I'm a 'tard, then, because I love my new flat kites. Maybe I'll call myself a 'tardboarder.

I'll be having a good time while watching the real kiteboarders like lol getting crucified when the monster gust rolls through. Those guyz really know how to rip it up. Unlike me. I'm a 'tard.

I agree that flat kites are just a bullshit, overpriced gimmick. That'z why all my expensive 2005 5-line C kites are for sale right now. Damn kite companies, scheming a 'tard like me. I should know that my 15m Ion relaunching in seconds with little effort the other day (again and again) in about 10-12 mph is just a gimmick.

Yesterday I logged 3 hours, 42 minutes of 'tardboarding in very up and down conditions on my 15m Ion without even breaking a sweat. It was awesome throwing 'tardloops on that Ion, but it doesn't count as a real kiteloop because I wasn't using a real kite. I even did some 'tard-handle passes with it the other day to show everyone at the session that I am the most 'tarded out of everyone.

Come to think of it, 'tardboarding RULES!

This post is getting funnier and funnier... In terms of prices for the bow kites versus the C shape kites, they are actually about the same, and sometimes even cost less...compared to the new 2006 C shape kites. A few examples:

Bow: 15m ION complete: $1603
C shape: 16m Slingshot Octane complete: $1649
Bow: 16m Caution Answer complete: $1460
C shape: 16m RRD Type HIR complete: $1675
Bow: 16m North Rhino complete: $1679
C shape: 16m Cabrinha Switchblade complete: $1649

Obviously, these are MSRP prices(what we are recommended to sell each at), and we can do a lot better on all of them(bow or C shape)..but as you can see...they are pretty much about the same price.....

Ken,
Just gotta laugh...my thoughts are, as long as you are riding, it is a good day. Who cares if it is a Bow kite, C shape kite, or green frog kite! Just make sure whatever you chose to ride, you buy it from us   and yes, we have purple frog kites!!!! I bought my daughter one.

Whatever. I have a kite bag made out of King Kong fabric. Kong can beat Spidernan and Hulk ass with one hand tied behind his back.

Yeah. But before he died, he took some asses out and had a hottie girlfriend.

Spiderman and Hulk are lucky that they never tried to flex on Kong.

Spiderman gets the hotties also. But the invisable man gets the most. He see's you when your sleeping, he knows when you been good or bad. Err wait thats someone else. The invisable man just hangs out in the girls locker room. I came in from riding and the green goblin was in my nose.
